George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead is the original siege film, featuring 5 strangers hauled up in a rural farmhouse, awaiting certain death by zombie apocalypse. Despite this film’s feverish, claustrophobic, end-of-the-world-ish qualities, the characters are shockingly well composed in their costuming. As a window into 1968’s fashion sensibilities, this film succeeds with flying colors. Each character, perfectly dressed for demise.
