Based off of Barry Gifford’s novel of the same name, “Wild at Heart” perfectly expresses in its clothing the lucrative chaos of David Lynch’s vision. Of his role in the film, Nic Cage once said that he was “always attracted to those passionate, almost unbridled romantic characters.” Lynch’s protagonists are nothing if not violently romantic, and this film is no exception.
